Project Consortium
Behind VETInnovate is a team of six organisations from Spain, Serbia, Romania and Cyprus, each bringing their own expertise, networks and experience to the table. From industry federations and regional development agencies to research institutes and digital innovation hubs, the consortium is built for real, lasting impact.
CESOL is an independent, non-profit association with more than 45 years of experience, serving as the national reference point in Spain for welding and joining technologies. The organisation specialises in information, certification of people, products and processes, training, advice, and technical assistance to industries that use welding, adhesive bonding and Additive Manufacturing. CESOL is the European Welding Federation (EWF) Authorised National Body (ANB) in Spain and a member of the International Institute of Welding (IIW).
FEMEVAL is a non-profit employers’ federation representing more than 3,000 companies in the metal and mechanical sector of the Valencia Region, which accounts for 12.9% of regional GDP. The organisation supports associated companies in innovation and technology, sustainability, strategic management, training, human resources, internationalisation, and European project development. FEMEVAL has been involved in more than 40 European and national projects across Quality, Environment, Digitalisation, Industry 4.0 and risk prevention.
REDASP is a regional public body and key provider of development processes in central Serbia, representing a partnership of private, public and NGO sectors across 11 municipalities in the Šumadija and Pomoravlje region. Over 20 years of operation, REDASP has served more than 20,000 clients, supported over 1,200 new companies, created more than 2,000 new jobs, and delivered over 600 trainings for 7,000+ participants. The agency has implemented more than 60 projects across strategic planning, institutional capacity building, human resource development, and SME support.
Founded in 1970, ISIM Timișoara is a national research and development institute and Romania’s internationally acknowledged representative to the International Institute of Welding (IIW). The institute conducts fundamental and applied research in welding and material testing, scientific counselling, inspection, failure analysis, and professional training. Since 1995, ISIM has operated a certified Training Centre approved at international and European level by the EWF and nationally by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The Center for Sustainability is an educational and research SME based in Nicosia, Cyprus, dedicated to promoting sustainable practices across environmental, social and economic domains at local, national, European and international level. CS operates five units — Environmental Conservation, Entrepreneurship, Community Engagement, Mental Health & Well-Being, and Civil Protection — with a particular focus on STEAM education, green education and VET content development. It manages Impact Hub Nicosia, a co-working and training space, and maintains a partnership network of over 300 entities worldwide.
Helixconnect Balkans (HELIX) is the Western Balkans branch of Helixconnect Europe, established to facilitate innovation, knowledge and technology transfer across Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. HELIX operates six departments including a Centre for Digital Transformation and an Engineering and Material Science Centre, offering toolkits for digital education and DigComp/DigCompEdu competence frameworks. It hosts the International Chapter of the Triple Helix Association and is an official pledger of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative.
