Digital Transformation & Skills
Overview
This module examines how Vocational Education and Training (VET) centres can lead digital transformation, treating it not as the adoption of isolated tools but as a systemic institutional shift across governance, infrastructure, curricula, pedagogy, staff competences, industry collaboration, and quality assurance. It is organised around ten key dimensions — Digital Strategy and Governance, Digital Infrastructure and Learning Technologies, Integration of Digital Skills in Curriculum, Digital Pedagogy and Learning Innovation, Trainer Digital Competence, Staff Professional Development, Industry Collaboration for Digital Skills, Responsible and Ethical Digitalisation, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Digital Inclusion and Accessibility. Through these dimensions and a set of self-assessment indicators, the module helps institutions move from sporadic digital initiatives toward coherent strategies that align learning with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and Industry 4.0, while ensuring digitalisation remains inclusive, ethical, and accessible to all learners.
