Overview
This module focuses on upgrading the strategic and operational capabilities of leaders and managers within VET centres, recognising that curriculum reforms, advanced equipment, and engaged teaching staff fall short without leadership that has the vision, skills, and systems to guide the institution forward. It distinguishes leadership (setting direction and vision) from management (organising resources and operations) and frames effective practice around five interconnected focus areas — Vision and Strategy, Inclusive Governance, Change Management, Staff Empowerment, and Evidence-Based Management. It offers VET leaders and management teams a structured framework to assess their current capabilities, identify areas for growth, and take practical steps towards institutional transformation.
