Green Skills
Overview
This module explores how Vocational Education and Training (VET) centres can embed green skills into technical education across the manufacturing, automotive, robotics, and energy sectors, supporting the transition toward a climate-neutral and resource-efficient economy. It sets out six key dimensions of building green skills — Environmental Awareness and Climate Literacy, Energy Efficiency and Management, Circular Economy Competences, Sustainable Technical Practices, Green Digital and Smart Technologies, and Resource Efficiency and Material Management — and shows what each looks like in real workshops and curricula. Drawing on these dimensions, the module reframes sustainability not as a specialised "green" subject but as a transversal, mainstream component of all vocational training, and offers a self-assessment tool, maturity matrix, and transformation pathway to guide institutional change.
